Philips EPIQ 5 Ultrasound Machine
$35,600.00
The Philips Epiq 5 is a premium shared service ultrasound machine from Philips. It offers Purewave single crystal probes, a compact and lightweight design and superior ergonomics and workflow. The Epiq 5 replaces the older Philips iU22 without xMatrix. The Epiq 5 has less probe options and features than the more expensive Epiq 7. All the Epiq and Affiniti ultrasound machines look visually very similar and use the same monitor and huge tablet like touchscreen for navigation.

The GE Logiq E9 is a premium shared service ultrasound machine capable of top-of-the-line women’s health and 4D imaging along with clear imaging for radiology, cardiac, and vascular applications. GE’s breakthrough technology with the Logiq E9 is XDclear, an imaging technology that uses advanced transducers with a single crystal, acoustic amplification, and cooling technology to improve image quality, especially at deeper penetration when image quality typically fades. For even higher imaging quality, consider a GE Logiq E9 with XDclear 2.0, which is GE’s full-featured system for general-purpose diagnostic ultrasounds.
The GE healthcare Logiq E9 is suitable for a multi-application clinic. Compared to other GE models like the GE Vivid line, which specializes in cardiovascular applications, and the GE Voluson line, which is focused on women’s health and 4D, the GE Logiq E9 can do both of these applications as well as radiology and general imaging. Conversely, medical professionals who plan to use the Logiq E9 system exclusively for one or two applications may instead consider the GE Voluson E8 for OB/GYN and 4D applications or the GE Vivid E9 for cardiac applications. The Logiq E9 has been in production since 2009 and is both stable and reliable, even in older versions dating back to BT11 (also known as R3 or revision 3). The starting price for a refurbished GE Logiq E9 is about $16,500 but could be as high as $26,500 depending on its condition, age, features, degree of use, and whether it comes with transducers, which could raise the starting price to about $19,000. Scroll down for more information about the Logiq E9, including specs and clinical image examples. Or contact Ultrasound Supply, a Probo Medical Company, for more information.

The Philips Affiniti 70 is a high-end shared-service ultrasound machine that was developed in 2014 based on the premium EPIQ 7. The Affiniti 70 looks nearly identical to the EPIQ 7 and EPIQ 5 and offers many of the same features, including single crystal PureWave transducers. The Philips Affiniti 70 also has many of the same technologies as the EPIQ series ultrasounds, including the QLAB onboard quantification set and ShareWave elastography. A unique feature of the Affiniti 70 is that it offers ShearWave. As a shared service ultrasound machine, the Affiniti 70 excels at cardiology as well as women’s health, vascular and radiology ultrasound applications. Philips ultrasounds are most well known for their cardiac imaging superiority, but the Philips Affiniti 70 also features high image quality for its price level. An alternative system at a lower price point is the Affiniti 50, although only the Affiniti 70 has the PureWave transducers and ShearWave Elastography. Scroll below for additional details and specifications on the Affiniti 70, or contact us today for more information.
The Philips HD15 is a high-end ultrasound machine for shared service applications with the amazing Purewave single crystal probes. Reliable and high performance for nearly a decade the HD15 is still sought after even after production ended in 2015.
The Philips iU22 is a premium shared service ultrasound machine that offers superior image quality through xMatrix transducers that offer the best aspects of single-crystal and 4D transducers. In clinical settings, the Philips iU22 offers top-of-the-line image quality and features available for radiology, OB/GYN, cardiac, vascular, and specialty imaging applications, such as MSK, pediatric, and elastography. (For cardiovascular-specific applications, the nearly identical Philips iE33 is slightly better equipped.) The average price for a used Philips iU22 ultrasound is between $8,100 and $14,100, depending on the year of the system, its condition and degree of past use, and whether transducers are included in the package. While Philips has since replaced the iU22 with the more modern Philips Epiq 5 ultrasound, the price differential between the Epiq 5 and iU22 means the latter continues to be a popular choice for physicians who need high image quality at an affordable price. In fact, the iU22, which was launched in 2004, has a long history of improvements and revisions that have made it the gold standard for over a decade.

The Canon Aplio 400 Platinum has removed three of the upgradable options, Smart 3D, Speckle Reduction and Tissue Specific Optimization, from the Canon Aplio 500 Platinum. The standard package of the Canon Aplio 400 are as follows: 19-inch LCD monitor, DVD/CD drive, Precision imaging, Tissue Enhancement, Differential-THI, ApliPure+, Trapezoid Scan, Quick Scan, TDI, QSP, HPRF, Advanced Dynamic FlowTM(ADF), and DICOM Media Storage.
The Canon Aplio Platinum series was the top line products series before Canon launched the new Aplio i series in 2016. The Canon Aplio Platinum series share the same system architecture; therefore, all options could be used on the Aplio 300, 400, and 500. The user selectable key options are as follows: 4D for motor driven volume transducers and TEE transducer, Battery Kit, Smart Fusion, Smart Navigation Sensor, Smart Navigation, Wireless LAN, Stress Echo, 2D Wall Motion Tracking, CHI(Contrast Harmonic Imaging), CHI-Q, Parametric MFI, 4D STIC, Luminance, Fly Thru, Protocol Assistant, Super Micro Vascular Imaging (SMI), MicroPure, Elastography-FLR, Elastography, Shear Wave, Panoramic View, Vascular Index, Auto NT, and 1.5D Transducer support kit.
Apart from all the selectable options, the Canon Aplio Platinum series supports a total of 47 transducers including sector, convex, 4D volume, linear, micro convex, TEE, and Pencil transducers. Among those 47 transducers, the Canon Aplio Platinum series supports about 10 different intra-operative and biopsy enhancement transducers that improve clinical productivity in interventional Radiology.

The Supersonic Aixplorer is the premier Elastography system available in Ultrasound today. Though it was not the first brand to offer Elastography, the major brands are trying to catch up with it’s proprietary ShearWave technology. This technology delivers impeccable image quality and enables ultrafast imaging and Doppler. Though the Aixplorer is a very specialized machine, it can do other general imaging, but is not as flexible as a Philips iU22, or Logiq E9 which also try to compete in this segment.
