We continue to love the Sonosite M-Turbo. Sonosite has done a great job at identifying their target market and providing that market with great products. The M-Turbo is great for physicians to use for accomplishing tasks such as needle guidance, pain management and mobile businesses. Once released, this became the de-facto system for anesthesiologists. This product is well-designed for it has removed many of the complex buttons, knobs, and menus that are on many other portable ultrasound machines.

It is important to keep in mind that the M-Turbo is not great for heavy diagnostic use. Though it can perform all measurements and diagnostics, this ultrasound machine is best used to perform faster exams.

Yes, as an additional option, the M-Turbo has SonoMBE needle visualization software. However, not all M-Turbo portable ultrasound systems have SonoMBE.

SonoMB represents “multi-beam” technology, also known as compound imaging, CrossXBeam (GE) and SonoCT (Philips/ATL). It allows for multiple lines of site for the transducer, providing a clearer, more accurate image.

SonoHD is SonoSite’s version of noise-reduction imaging, also known as Speckle Reduction Imaging. It uses a software algorithm to improve body tissue visualization while reducing artifact from an image.

You can find the M-Turbo brochure below. Probo Medical has a large inventory of owner’s manuals and brochures, contact us today for more information.

Part 1 of our M-Turbo training series is more than just a cursory overview of the user interface. This covers much of what you need to know to perform 2D imaging with the M-Turbo ultrasound machine.

This is the best place to start if you’re looking for a tour of the controls and how to begin scanning immediately. Subsequent videos cover Doppler modes, patient exams, exporting, and system setup.

Part 2 of our M-Turbo training series is a quick video overview of starting a new exam.

This training video covers starting a new patient, entering their information and starting a new exam.

Part 3 of our M-Turbo training series covers using the Doppler modes.

These modes include PW Doppler, color Doppler and Color Power Doppler on this SonoSite portable ultrasound machine.

Part 4 of our M-Turbo training series shows how to customize and setup the M-Turbo ultrasound Machine.

As with most SonoSite portable ultrasounds, the general setup is more limited in customization features than other ultrasound machines.

This final portion of our video training series on the M-Turbo ultrasound covers the exam review stage.

Here you’ll see how to review images post-exam and export patient data and images to a USB or otherwise.
